“Sew for Charity,” is an exciting new initiative harnessing the skills of volunteer fashion professionals to upcycle discarded fabrics into cherished clothing for those in need.

By recycling fabrics and donations of time and talents, “Sew for Charity” aims to keep bodies warm through changing seasons while promoting self-esteem.

Everyone deserves to feel confident and protected – we hope to help clothe communities creatively through sustainable fabric recycling.  “Sew for Charity” project aims to bring together skilled fashion designers and dressmakers to create clothing for those in need using recyclable and sustainable materials. Our goal is twofold: reduce textile waste through reuse and upcycling of fabrics, and provide warm, durable clothing to help vulnerable groups stay protected from the elements.

We will source donated fabrics such as cotton, wool and fleece from textile companies, then have our volunteer sewers cut and sew the materials into practical yet attractive garments. These include coats, pants, dresses, undershirts and more – items.

Our target recipients include the mentally challenged living in group homes and on the streets, impoverished children without proper clothing, rural communities lacking access to stores, and street children who otherwise have no shelter or protection from the weather. By providing essential clothing created through recycling, we aim to keep bodies warm and promote dignity.
