Officials’ Eligibility
The eligibility criteria outlined below are consistent with the standards of International Model United Nations conferences worldwide.
The following individuals are eligible to be selected for positions on the GIMUN 2026 Committees Bureau:

Individuals who have previously participated in Model United Nations conferences and who preferably have experience serving as officials, leading Model UN committees, or holding other leadership roles in simulations of the General Assembly, its Main Committees, or other United Nations agencies

Individuals who are not older than 25 years of age at the time of the conference

Individuals who are fluent in English, the working language of GIMUN 2026
Required Skills and Experience
Applicants must also demonstrate the following skills and experience:

The ability to communicate clearly and express ideas and thoughts in a coherent and professional manner

Strong organizational, research, and drafting skills

A working knowledge of the structure and functions of the United Nations Secretariat and the General Assembly

A fair understanding of United Nations documentation, General Assembly Rules of Procedure, and the process of drafting UN resolutions

Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment

The ability to plan and implement Model United Nations conference activities efficiently

Strong time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
